Our History

OMEGA Mission International was founded by Jerry Hale in 2004 and operated out of Lubbock, Texas. The goal of OMEGA was to work with the people of Tanzania, Africa while changing the hearts of the Americans who were sent. Paul Kaufman ran the projects on the ground in Tanzania from 2005 until May 2008. Ed and Deborah Lloyd moved to Tanzania and took over until end of 2013. While there, they were in charge of setting up projects and the ministry of hosting OMEGA teams. They, alongside OMEGA teams, built churches, schools, and provided sustainable water for  the towns of Arusha, Dodoma, and many more. Over the 9 years of operation, OMEGA sent over 400 people from the United States and Europe to serve in Tanzania. Each team went home with a new perspective and deepened faith.

Commit
We commit people from local churches to a team to serve and learn more about the Lord and his people. These teams can range in age, denomination, and skill level.
Go
We travel to other communities and work with our partners on the ground by serving their community.
Plant
We encourage our teams to "plant" back into their own communities to make a difference where they live by serving with one of our local partners.
